DMCA / Copyright Policy
I take copyright seriously in both directions, the content I put out and the content other people have made. This page covers what happens if either of us runs into an issue with the other.
My Content
Everything published on riichimirza.com, the articles, tool designs, graphics, the wording of the guides, is something I wrote or built myself. If you’d like to reference it, quote a section with credit and a link back, that’s genuinely welcome. Copying whole articles onto another site, repackaging one of my tools as your own, or lifting large chunks of text without credit isn’t something I’m okay with, and I’ll follow up on it if I come across it.
If You Think I’ve Used Something of Yours
I try hard not to, but mistakes happen, especially with something like images or a snippet pulled in while researching a post. If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, let me know and I’ll take it seriously. To make the report actually actionable, include:
A description of the specific content you believe is infringing, and where exactly it appears on the site (a direct URL helps a lot more than “somewhere in your blog”). Some way to identify the original work it’s supposedly copied from. Your contact information, so I can follow up if I need clarification. And a simple statement that you believe, in good faith, that the use isn’t authorized.
Send that through the contact form, WhatsApp, or email, whichever’s easiest for you. I’ll look into it and, if it checks out, remove or fix the content promptly. If I think there’s a misunderstanding, like fair use of a short quote with proper attribution, I’ll explain my reasoning rather than just ignoring the message.
If You Think a Report Against You Was Wrong
This mostly applies if I ever contact someone else about content of mine they’ve used, but the same logic runs both ways. If you’re on the receiving end of a claim and believe it’s mistaken, explain your side clearly and we can sort it out directly rather than escalating for no reason.
Why This Page Exists at All?
Partly because it’s just good practice for any site with a contact form and a blog, but also because a lot of what I write about, comparisons, tool breakdowns, guides, involves referencing other people’s products and work. I want it clear that credit and fair use matter to me, on both sides of that equation.
